As a food teacher I really need to stay on top of all of the changes and developments to ensure my students have up to date knowledge. Today I’ve been to University College Birmingham to learn about scientific food experiments and how to prepare fish and chicken so I can show the students ready for their coursework.
I totally forgot to email UCB on Friday to tell them about the dairy free pain in the backside visiting this week. They were obviously very accommodating. When everyone else had sandwiches and mini quiches I was given this amazing plate of chilli and mango prawns. I hope this is a sign of good things to come!
During the day I made an array of dishes and they offered to help me adapt the recipe so I could make them dairy free. They turned out amazingly well. I will be adding these recipes to the blog this week.
